What's the going rate for a good working terrier, I've been searching the net and there doesn't seem to be a fixed price. I've been looking at borders, lakelands and party's but the prices range from about 200 up to 700 up here around Newcastle.

I'd be wary about buying anything advertised in your local rags. £700 for a working pup? Which peddlar is selling pups for that?

i wouldnt give 700 for any pup thats just madness. someone trying to make money. your better of getting out with someone for a bit of digging and ask them do they no of any good litters coming up dont be in a hurry and make shure your getting a pup from well tested parents

Thanks for the advice, the 700 pups were border terriers on one of the many classified puppy sites
