Ireland Master Mcgrath Final

This is a final call for Master McGrath Finalists to stake their claim to take part in the final - except for the two qualifiers taking place this weekend. However everyone must stake their claim by Monday night. After Monday night claims to take part will not be taken. Anyone who has called their claim in, emailed me or sent a claim by facebook must get a forms from me ( email me at irishgamefair@btinternet.com ) and bring it with them to register with David Titterington at HQ by 11.00 am on Saturday 29th June. At that stage they can collect their limited edition qualifiers cap. These caps are only available to qualifiers.

 

 

Please note that the draw for heats will take place by handlers drawing balls out of a bag. Handlers who have qualified more than one dog will not be guaranteed that only one of their dogs may be drawn in any one heat. All dogs MUST take an equal chance in the draw for which dogs they run against in the heats. So anyone with more than one dog qualified should arrange to have a 'back up' slipper to slip their second dog.

 

Line judges will be Dazzam, Tom Fulton and a member of the NILRC. There will be other independent judges for the All Ireland Racing. In a tight finish the decision of the judges will be on the basis of a 2:1 vote. Although it is likely that the heats and definitely the final will be filmed.

Congratulations to all the owners and to the dogs that have qualified for the Master McGrath final. There definitely seems to be a lot more dogs that have qualified this year than in the previous two years. Also it's great to see a few of the traditional bred lurchers mixing it up with the elite dogs and being represented in the final. All the very best to all the owners/slippers and dogs for the final and hope all the dogs come off sound and healthy. As Sir Alex Ferguson would say it's "squeaky bum time" for you all as you give your dogs their final gallops, runs on the lure, and lots of rubs over the next lot of days.
