A Couple Of Questions About Kits (9Weeks)

Recommended Posts

Hi last week I got my self 2 hobs I've been handling them as much as I can and in the week I've had them they've only given me 2 quite uncomfortable bites.

I was just wondering...

How much time does everyone spend handling each day?

And...

How much should I be feeding them every day?

I've been giving them dry food in the morning before I go to work and then meat in the night (bacon, chicken, anything that's going spare)

Yeah I've been feeding them before handling. They're pretty good. Had a decent nip of the one earlier but my hands stank of meat haha. Not too bothered about the biting now cos it doesn't hurt but I'm guessing it'll get more painful as they grow. I've been handling them for about an hour a day

some people wont agree here prob but i always give them a tap on the nose when they nip and it seems to snap them out of it,but still like the other lads said feed before handling. they all nip in the beginning its in their nature but soon enough with plenty of handling it wont matter if your hands smell of meat they wont bother.

Yep a tap on the snout push your finger as deep as possible into their mouth if they to and bite are all good ways of curing biting ... And as has been said bacon is a no no for ferrets way to much salt for a little animal ...........
