Recommended Posts

went out on my 1st walk of the day, then my 2nd walk norm about 8 30-9pm .Went this morning about 10am , went down lane not far from me , both dogs Bryn+ Buck. Stopped 1/2 way down lane, come to gate of field just stood eating a apple + chilling out there. .Both dogs had gone into field grass was about 2ft high, then seen to young teen girls about 12-15 years old. Buck saw them 1st, and just looked, Bryn same but did move towards them.Well both my dogs are sound with people, and Bryn ok with other males as long as they dont for him,Buck just soft loves to play with any dog. Well these girls had small kind of (designer type dogs) like curly spaniel thing.Well i didnt see it because of the long grass ,Buck goes over sees it, and he wanted to try to play with it, Bryn wasnr botherd. As soon Buck go to them, the blood girl picks the dog up to her head, yeh you guess it Buck was jumping up to the girls head. I shouted to her put it on the floor, he want hurt he is a 10 month old pup.Well iknow Buck is very big for a pup, and i can under stand why they were scared. But i wouldnt loose him off he was dangerous to people+ dogs, he just a pup.Well i got to him got him on the lead, and said if kept your dog on the floor, mine wouldnt keep jumping at you. Me and the wife had bust up about when igot back and told her.Ok i will have to keep him on the lead when isee people+ dogs, he is to big .But i still think if they had kept that blood thing on the floor, it would gone alot eaiser than it did.??

You're suggesting they can't walk their dogs on leads in public without risk of being bombarded by out of control lurchers?  And they should deal with it or go elsewhere?   FFS. Recall training or

Like you say Ray. You know he's alright bu they dont and he is a fcking lump of a thing. I wouldnt like the thought of any dog jumping up at any my daughters while they walked there dog trying too play or not.

And for this reason i hate bumping into people while out iam lucky and live right at the very edge of the village so only have too walk past a few house and iam in the feilds off the beaten track where i try not too bump in to any fcker. Keep him on lead mate saves all the bullshit that could happen

Yeh as Brigg says your lucky they were young girls really and not a bloke with his steel toe caps on.

That dog must be huge now. He used to look like a timberwolf and he can't be off the lead jumping up at people's faces. Not without some repercussion anyway.

I was out mooching the other morning about 8am (too late really if dog walkers are known in the area, I like to be out at 4:30 and back for 6:00) and a huge lump of a shepherd cross came bounding up to us, my bitch was walking at heel, now my bitch hates new dogs that are bouncy. She doesn't mind anything with a slow introduction but if it comes running up to us she is straight on the defensive.

I had a quick decision to make, let her fire in it or give it the boot in the face (the latter being much easier on the dog, so I opted for this) then I had the owner ranting and raving that I shouldn't of done it and shouldn't be out walking a nasty dog without a muzzle.

Surely I have the right to walk my dogs wether on a lead or to heel without someone's out of control dog coming up and causing us problems?

Atb. Gaz.

So what if in the above scenario it was your dog bounding up to me and I didn't get chance to boot it in the face.

As you shout "he's only 10 months mate" my bitch fires in and start ripping shreds out of him?

What then? Would I be in the wrong?
