budharley 945 Posted June 14, 2013 Report Share Posted June 14, 2013 Hi guys I have a fishing pit on my dads land it has all the usual coarse fish apart from pike, we have another small pit that has a few roach and tench in we would like to take them out and put them in the bigger pond as the small pond is getting hammered by people all leaving litter . . any ideas how I can catch them without getting in with a net and I don't realy fancy rod and reel either,has any one used a cast net with any success .? jonah. 775 Posted June 14, 2013 Report Share Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) there are companies out there that will come and electro net them for you and arrange the license, this can be expensive though. i have known people conduct "fish surveys" on there own water by electro netting themselves, it involves adding a small current of electricty to the water, via a battery or generator, the fish rise to the top and you just scoop em up with a net. you have to be very carefull you dont over juice it though and kill them, your just looking to stun. budharley 945 Posted June 14, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 14, 2013 its not worth getting someone in to empty it there isn't really a lot of fish, I put the fish in there and the larger pond when I was a young lad my dad lets people fish the larger pond that help out with fencing and such but there is the ones who cant be arsed and want to fish for free so go on the smaller one ad leave shit everywhere .
