you wont go far wrong on here mate plenty of good advice if you dont mind having the crack ,re: good books theres a new one out now and phill lloyds moochers tales are good too ,you could also get purdeys progress by d slieght on dvd good watch and plenty good advice too...

A dvd called Purdeys Progress is very good. Books can't really teach you much, better chatting to folk and sorting the wheat from the chaff. Unfortunately we all learn a lot through trial and error............

IFF I WAS YOU FOR GET THE BOOKS FOR GET WHAT FOLK TELL YOU ,MANY OF FOLK CAN TALK A GOOD DOG A BIT LIKE SOME 1 WHO READS A BOOK ON BUILDING A HOUSE THEY CAN LAY A BRICK,, WHEN IT COMES TO IT,,, GO OUT WITH SOME 1 WHO CAN TRAIN A DOG ETC, AND KNOWS HOW TO WORK A DOG, AND TAKE IT ALL IN,,

Tbh that's what I would like to do but because I am moving from canterbury to Inverness next month I don't see the point of trying to meet people round this area just because of the time frame that's why I am asking for more information about the breed and having a better knowledge about lurchers before I buy one and make a mess ov thing if you get we're i am coming from

blane. wait till you are settled and once you know what the grounds like and what quarry is plentyfull this will help you decide what type of lurcher will suit you. i would also recomend purdy's progress as a first rate training aid. and read as much as you can. if nothing else it will keep you interested. good luck fella.
