Terrier Killed On A Local Beach..

Recommended Posts

it'll be the nobs that only come out in summer,it's getting hard to find anywhere to even let my dog off lead this year.

my lurchers had at least 10 dogs have a go this summer probably because i've struggled to get to quieter areas because of my leg.

very strange how when i had my big muscular staff (who didn't care about other dogs, but never went off lead) they always managed to keep there dogs well away from me,but now that he's gone they can't :hmm:

Aye that's it neems, 'fair weather' walkers  thing round my way is the amount of professionals who own dogs that never get walked, maybe a couple of times a week at best. So when they're out they let them off the lead, unsocialised and full of it and they wreak havoc. I've offered a bit of dog walking, even just to stretch their legs and get some fresh air but no one likes parting with a couple of quid a week, gotta feel sorry for them poor hounds

yeah most aren't genuinely aggressive, they're just frustrated,my lurcher would probably kill a small dog if i cooped him up for a couple of months then released him in a park surrounded by them.

Yes there's some owners need a swift kick up the arse too .I. can't understand why when they see you put your dogs on a lead they don't bother and think its ok for their dog to run up and try it on even seen the owners with headphones on whilst the dogs are running wild a swift boot up the dogs arse normally sorts them out and funny how they never say anything to you . Ruby I think I know the collies you mention if its the same 1 he puts em in check when he sees my dogs now after the last incident luckily it was quiet when i was by the old jetty so it was a good wander with no incidents for a change

It was two young lads about my age, early 20's, never seen them before. Canny dogs though shame no one was keeping an eye on them

Must admit after the run ins i've had over the last couple of months it did put me off walking the dogs a bit, turned something enjoyable into a chore and i was constantly on edge. "What's round the corner". Now i've taken the no nonsense approach and anything even antagonizing gets a boot straight away, sadly that won't work on the German Shepherd that is hell bent on getting at Ruby and that's already ragged a dachshund, a terrier and a bichon frise.......but the bint of an owner still walks it off the lead  it's pure luck it's not got hold of her before now, it'll be the finish of it if it does!!

What dogs have you got stevie? Probably seen you kicking about. PM if you want
