Free German Shepherd Dog

My mate has a 4 year old shepherd dog that's needs a good a home ... The story .....

 

He is a landscape Gardner and a year ago he working on an old ladies garden and the dog was there ... She had never walked or trained it and it was running riot around her house and garden ... She asked my mate if he could find a home for it as she has no family to help her ... His rotate had just died so he took the dog on himself ... He has worked hard on the dog to get it fit train it and socialise it ... It's basic obedience and recall is spot on and the dog is about 90% stock broken ... He has the odd bout of barking at horses ......

 

My mate has had to move into a small cottage with a small garden and although he can take the dog on his big jobs with him he has a lot of contracts in small gardens and can't take the dog with him which means he is being left for 12 hours at a time in a small cottage and garden and it isn't really fair on him .....

 

The dog is good with cats the fella has two young kids and the dog is good with them ... Not to bad with other dogs a bit like the horse thing ... Obviously I will pass on the fellas number and you can ask him all the questions you need to .....

 

The dog is near the new forest .......

looks a cracker, had a gsd like that when i was a kid their great family dogs, bit far for me (just lost lisence) or i would of been really intrested

good on your mate for doing what he did with the dog- maybe he should contact one of the breed-specific rescues, I bet they could help him make sure he goes to the right home.
