Guest norseman
alright lads, im new to this trapping lark, but today I've set five mark 6 fenn traps in rabbit burrows. as they are devastating my brothers allotment at the moment. when I was finishing up I saw a good sized fox watching me from the top of the field and then running off, but later returned to get a closer look at where I was. which got me thinking that if a do catch a rabbit, will the fox make off with it? or even worse the trap? any advice welcome lads cheers Quote Link to post

Guest norseman
just jumped in the car and checked the traps, one set off, rabbit fur all over the place and trap 15 foot down the field. I recon the fox got an easy meal the soil is very soft, and I still have to make proper pins for them. the rest should be ok I hope. thanks for the tips lads Quote Link to post
The one 8,608
Same problem here i was doing a field well out the road nice sandy place i had high tensile fence wire bent over like a u a foot long and long metal tent pegs lost two traps i dont think they where stolen as i would of lost more i think a fox managed to pull them out . Take the edge of it for me losing that amount of moneys worth when your only getting 35 pence a rabbit . I got some proper earth anchors made up after that . Quote Link to post
