fireman 11,389
She can't throw colour it comes from the cock, hence why only cocks can be split for colour but hens can't be, or i'm totaly wrong .But i'm sure i'm not and your cock will be split for cinny,i have a pair of cinny's and silvers here on eggs and if they go well and rear your welcome to a bird to pair with one of yours for a complete colour pair next year and silver x cinny = isabel . fireman 11,389
Cracking little bird and cocks can be split for a few things,on a bird forum there's a goldie cock for sale split for 4 or 5 different colours.I do have 2 spare redpoll cocks here one silver and one normal split for silver if you ever need one .

BOLIO1 1,078
Redpolls and Siskins used to be the first birds down on the poseys of feed that I'd take into the aviary. I'd get handfuls of meadowsweat, hardheads and alder towards the end of summer and go in the aviary and stand there holding a bunch in my hands.....these natives would be down feeding on me before canaries or any other finches....so trusting were they.
