Ive bought dogs at sales and shows in the past good, bad and ugly cant be doing with it anymore. And after bringing home parvo wont be buying pups again either.

When i first started out id have bought a lurcher anywhere,often did,shows,cattle auctions,horse fairs and ads in papershops,in all honesty the majority of them ended up making useful enough mutts,when your young and eager a turd,with enough graft behing it,will shine after a bit of polishing.Now i would,nt and have learnt the art of patience and being selective,which is lost on youthfull enthusiasm,there are many,many more than useful mutts to be found in the most unlikely of locations.I can remember selling live chickens to some of our ethnic cousins in Bradford,passing a travellers site and seeing a useful looking terrier pup running about we pulled over,i ended up swapping a chicken for the terrier pup and my mate ended up with a young lurcher for the princely sum of a chicken plus £4,the terrier never made much but the lurcher ended up a belter.
