mole trapper 1,703
Just bought the VX3 4.5-14X50 @£510 from the sportsman, this is to go on my SYSS ruger 10/22, the only reason i put a scope of this cost on a rimmy was because it was reccomended by the company i bought the night vision scope off, they said it would in their opinion give the best clarity of vision etc, Well i would never had bought a Leupold normally, preffering the likes of Schmidt, Swarovski, Zeiss. BUT, i must say they do appear to be very high quality optics, dont go much on their appearance but that is of little consideration. Life time guarantee. Time will tell as they say. Bounder 0
Now then now then my mate says for the money this is the boy, its in my budget so I ask........what does the forum think or ............. I bought a Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x 40 for 250USD IMO a better scope, better light transmission and a rainguard coating on the lenses which repels water and doesn't fog. This alone is worth thinking about for these conditions, dunno about you but it's lashing with rain here now... The Bushnell Elite was previously made for Bausch and Lomb and are the high end scopes from bushnell. Have a search about reviews on the Bushnell Elite 3200/4200 series and they are well regarded. weejohn 3
i have the vx111 in 3.5-10x50 on my .22 which i have had for 7-8 years and the vx111 8.5-25x50 with varmint recticle on my 22-250 super scopes and cheap if you import them, the 8.5-25x50 was only £420 which is a bargain, i would definately recommend buying one Quote Link to post

Guest fen man
hi i use a leupold on my 22250 nothing wrong with them but at the end of the day its up to each individual . i was told buy a gun smith to spend as much on your scope as you would your rifle and it is true a good scope makes all the difference so dont cheap out on a scope pay that little bit more if you have to good look fen man Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
It pay's to get online and read the comments about each scope your thinking off, quality optics will cost you more fact, but in the long run it's cheaper. zeiss, schmidt, leupold, all excellent it's just a matter of what you want....... the only thing i will say is that the nightforce range are for too pricey and optically not as good in low light FACT. i've had a friend who bought one and needless to say was very excited when he got it great scope in good light, but dusk or dawn was very poor indeed, As he discovered on a hunting trip at 5:30 in the morning. he only had it a total of 1 month and bought a zeiss. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CHOICE>>>>>>>>>>> Quote Link to post
