A Pigeon And A Crow..

Recommended Posts

Ayup lads quick post about my 2 recent forays..

Sunday

took a mate shooting for his first time and let him use my hw95k to show him the ropes, he had fun and wants to go again :)

anyway as soon as we got to the farm there were 2 ferals sitting there much to my surprise, wasted no time getting my hw97kt cocked and on target and took one at about 25 yards with a .177 jsb exact to the neck, other one flew off but i think he might come back ... :)

Wednesday

went to get my .22 hw97k back off my mate, and took a detour through the permission on the way home. Quick check of the sights and the hawke sport hd 3-9x40 was pretty much zeroed already. :) .. so a quick walk home saw a crow land about 15 yards infront up a tree, so took it with a very clean heart and lungs shot, very quick and precise aiming to get the shot of before it flew :)

.. need to change the scope on the .22 97 and take it out and do a bit of plinking to help decide if i want my hw100t in a few months to be .177 or .22 ... probably go for the .22 as it will be mainly a hunting rifle and the .177 springers qill be more for plinking.. generally speaking. after that shot on the crow today tho im thinking .22 for hunting.. straight down with one flap of the wing and had expired by the time it hit the floor. clinical!

thanks for reading lads. SKoT
