Will It Charge ?

Hi lads im after finding out the + and - sides on my clulite 12v charger , i got a 12v 18ah lawnmower battery , so if i snip off the original connection off the battery charger and tie the two wires onto the loops on the battery will it charge the battery ?

imo as long has you have the positive and negative wires on the right terminals of the battery theres no reason why the battery shouldnt charge.

just make up a connector from the battery to the charger it will save you cutting anything

it will charge may tale a while though as that charger is fo a 7 ah &

your new battery is nearly 3 times as big

normally the black wire with a thin white stripe on it is the positive and the all black wire the negative
