Easter Bunnies..

Recommended Posts

I went a few miles up the road and had a days ferreting with Chrismdd on his permission. It was a bit chilly but pleasant enough to be out. There was the added bonus of the sun bursting through every now and then, warming the cockles.Luke and his dog are usually on hand to catch any runners but was not available today, apparently he was practising his "river jumping" :icon_redface: .We mainly used the Long Nets to net large areas of hedgeline, the rabbits are a bit thin on the ground at the moment so it saves time.

We managed 3 in the nets before moving on to drop a few purse nets.

Not the easiest hedges to do,especially when the main man is wearing camo....

We managed 1 more from the purse nets which was a bit different, because we hadn't dropped the ferret in. All in all a good day out.

And as an added bonus Rik found my sickle that we must of dropped in the wood back in October.

That rabbit bolting out the bury into the purse net before I entered the ferret was something I don't think we'll experience again anytime soon.

See you hopefully next Sunday for one final outing as long as get all that DIY completed otherwise my missus will be cooking those ferrets.
