jigsaw 11,902
took a long drive to my mate today and we went walking over the hills and far away, had the deerhound and the d/h x with us.Hes a magnificent beast I must say and what a temprement, like a big softie.Shane was telling me he has not much done with him as hes just reaching 2 years old and with the weather all this season and the condition of the land not too many oppertunities had arose.Next season he will be busier. The 1st x is a half sister to the dog and has had a few bits and pieces, fox, rabbit and a few hares.for the last few weeks she was in season and was not run at all.I ran with her a few months ago and she has a hell of a turn of speed and I wirtnessed her take 1 hare alone.Even if they dont catch they are mesmerising to watch.Shes had a nice ammount of rabbits on the lamp and has fared very well at those with little problems taking them. Her height(27 inches) has not been a problem to her.heres a few photos of the 2 and lastly, heres some new coursing blood shane reared.hopefully they'll make Clonmell in 2 years time 9 Quote Link to post

Our bitch's dam is a doxhope 1st x 26.5tts, her sire is a 1st x collie/grey 25"tts, but she's ended up fractionally under 29"tts and thrown really greyhoundy. My son has put a couple of pics up on the thread 'THE girl dog', he was bored lol. She's 16 months standing in 1st pic, she'll be 3 in about 2-3 months, and the 2nd pic was taken last saturday with my pup, he's 1/4 deerhound 3/4 greyhound. That brindle dog pup next to the black pup in the pic you put up by the doorway has a 'proper' look about him lol Quote Link to post
