is it to early for my goldie cock to put my siskin hen down ? they been feeding each other for about 3 months and she has built a nest and layed 3 eggs ive not seen the cock tread her but she is sitting tight and he feeds her on the nest any ideas ?

could be okay mate, let her sit for a week then check the eggs to see are they full

watch the goldie cock mate, i've had them been as good as gold while the hens been sitting

then kill the chicks, but i've had others that have been great feeders

I'd be leaving it a week as well myself then check the eggs,if clear smash the nest up and she'll go again,nice hybrid and best of luck with them .

checked eggs today thought there was 3 eggs but there was 4 they were 10 days layed and sadly all were clear pulled nest out so heres hoping the next time she goes down the eggs will be full

there's every chance you'll get a full egg eventually once this weather picks up whether it be there second , third or even fourth round pp , good luck with em mate , keep us posted how ya get on .

normally its June when the goldies are in breeding condition unless the birds are in breeding condition early, the end of the goldies beak will lose the black tip when breeding fit good luck
