fitchet 788
There seem to be an awful lot round here at the mo. So much in fact I'm sick of the sight of them ... and the back end of my dog disappearing over the hills with me doing my best Fenton impersonation. Courtesy of some nosey busy body I am now in the local Poacher's database after being reported. Cops swooped in on me, blocked my car and demanded to know just what I thought I was doing. ... walking my dogs sir. Hardly poacher material am I? .... Not really miss, but you've been reported for coursing deer. Although, you never do see deer in the daytime but we must respond to these reports seriously. The only deer I want to see right now would be on my plate thank you very much. I agree they can pop up in awkward places mine have had them in the local racecourse gardens but the worst one was in the middle of a roundabout at 6am ....

Everywhere I usually walk I'm seeing them. Which is great, because for the last couple of years I've seen pretty much nowt. Equally, I have not got the inclination to take one - not a moral thing, I just don't fancy doing it and also I'm not really a law breaking sort of girl. But ffs, a bunch get up and go what can you do? It was funny when Fenton set off after them, but not funny when it happens and you own lurchers and terriers lol When I got reported, I'd seen two deer jump up from some rough and set off, so I turned around sharpish, pipped my whistle and the dogs came to me ... they never even saw those deer. The officer informed me that 'poaching only takes place at night as that's when the deer are about'. I failed to correct him on that score
