What's a " Silver Hare " ? One of those scrunchy little " Blue / Mountain " ones from the chilly north?

Only, those are similar to the native Irish hares. And there's a lot of talk about Irish cross breeding with Brown.

The same papers may well mention Brown on Blue interactions.

:icon_eek: Lanesra, this is seriously getting my interest! Night it then be a Mountain x Brown, approaching a pure Brown?

Neil Reid is the man to talk to. Thirty years of hare watching, and a computer? You've surely come across him?

This is just the sort of thing he's crazy for. Got a PhD in it!

Not sure what sex as the Female boxes the Males so when watching 2 box there Definetly different sex , looks gen to us mate , Question do Mountain Hares Mix with Brown Hares as for yrs seeing Hares we've never seen this but that doesn't prove us right . Edited to add , just read your post again G , you've seen Brown Hares with Mountain/Blue Hares together and the Jacks Boxing . . Well this we've never seen but it could be just that G , though looking today it just looked like a Brown and the area it's in also convinced us mate . Edited by lanesra

Two hares boxing isn't always of opposite sexes.....Despite what many wildlife experts have told us in the past.
