hi there guys I was just wondering, are the yellowish bamboo ok for woody decoys, and can you just leave the decoy propped up next to a tree on them, I have used this method a few times with no results and im wondering if its the bamboo scaring off the decoys or just my pot luck that nothing has come my way?

Do you mean lofting poles mate ?

 

I do a bit of decoying with the 12 during the summer and haven't tried decoying with Air Rifle to be frank but you should try re-posting this in the Pigeon Section as well for a more general answer from the lads in that section.

I use green bamboo poles they mix with the colours in the fields better . but by the time they are able to see the colour of the bamboo you should of pulled the trigger

Could do, no green paint and want to use them tomorrow haha

just use decoy hooks, that way no pole to worry about only needed to get them up and down ,

easy enough to make yourself or you can buy them
