FastDogz 155
Why? MOLL. Well as you may know he has some disalinged cartlidge under his vertabre - well today the red arrows went over been a dog whos shit scared of thunder/jets ect well obviously he started stressing and one way or another ended up in agony - screaming like youve never heard a dog scream before.Straight to the E vet with him - all the time screaming-hardley able to move. One day this cartlidge will slip and he will be paralised on all four legs.So after some strong pain killers and strict instruction - DONT let him go on sofa, dont let him jump/play ect its no life for a dog and today was just a taster of what is to come in the future so rather put him through a life of cant do this, cant do that and pain episodes like this ive decided to let him go with dignity rather than wait for the day to come when it does finally slip. Not something i ever ever want my lad to go through again I feel like .... empty...i cant discribe it.Ive only ever had one dog pts before and she was 16 and not really mine more a family dog - But Razor is my best friend...my loyal compainion and i just...sorry i dunno. Guest MOLLY
My god you are being so brave. I know most people would have made the poor lad wait untill it was completely inevitable and as you say, go in pain with no dignity. I just hope when the day comes for my lot i can be as strong as you. MOLL.
shepp 2,285
I can appreciate how you feel FD, when I had my old bitch Gypsey put down some years ago I cried like a baby. She had no real quality of life left so I did what you will do and it is the right thing, you'll look back and always know you did right by him. One thing I think you should do if you can, is find a spot in the garden or a place he liked to go, dig a hole and bury him. It will make you feel like you did this last bit for him, it made me feel better anyway. Be strong. Shepp
