Question To Avoid Future Upset?

Recommended Posts

I have heard on many occasions about lurchers and terriers kennelled together end badly, now my lurcher was 10 months old when we got the terrier pup and they get on like a house on fire but as this is my 1st type of terrier like this that actually belong to me instead of a family dog and although they get on fine do you think I would be better kenneli mg them separately as the terrier matures or would they be fine because of they early bonding between the two? For what it's worth they're both bitches. What you all think?

I'd kennel them seperate if I were you mate especially bitches, seasons can mess with their heads. Is the lurcher a terrier cross too? I've known of people who's bitches after one scrap could never be together again as they hold a grudge.

not if you seperate them when you see first signs of bitch coming into season

ahh that's too much ball ache for me, Id only keep 1 sex either all dogs or all bitches.

the missus has he little fanny lickers in the house all bitches and when I get a hand to finish my run i'll most likely have bitches myself due to the fact that when the missus dogs come in heat they wont start yapping or going of there food ect

ive got a lurcher kenneled with 2 chiwawas and a yorkie terrier, never had a problem, all eat together aswell

Never had a problem maybe but if/when you do it will be a bad problem. If it kicks off and the lurcher loses its rag them three won't be much of a challenge for it.

I've got 2 dogs and a bitch, they will hunt and play together and are fine in the car but I'd never feed or kennel them together. The few scuffles my dogs have had over the years have been over food.
