Fly Fishing

Recommended Posts

If you're talking about salmon then any of these will do early;

Gold Willie Gunn

Monkey

Black & Yellow tube

Posh Tosh

If the water is lowish try a Cascade or a Yellow Allys.

Fresh Springers aren't particularly fussy so if you put a fly over it and it wants it, it will have a go :thumbs:

local knowledge is always best, if there is no hatch to match....

from my own perspective there has already been some good suggestions from Rossboi25 and lifelong cumbrian.

but you can get an idea (not suggesting you buy them) from here...

just click on the month, in the area you intend to fish, and it will offer suggestions.

good luck, tight lines!!

If you don't mind the travel there are some cracking lochs in a place called loch inver. It's in the north west of Scotland and holds some mega wild brown trout fishing. Look up loch veyatie and fien. Loch fien is linked to veyatie by a small spate river. Been going there since I was 5 and trust me it's amazing! You can hike in or take a boat.
