It's interesting though from a technical point of view. Of all the kicks and kick combos there are, all I saw being thrown was the two most basic kicks, front and round. And mostly off the same legs......

I'm not sure what rules/scoring system this is (maybe K1) but generally kicks score higher than other strikes if they land cleanly and on perceived impact,that means even if the opponent blocks but is still moved by the kick it scores.

 

if you look at the stances they are in it's very hard to generate enough power off the lead leg to noticeably move your opponent.

here's an example of a man knocking shite out of his opponent but not landing high scoring shots.
