if making a ferret box do you use flush hinges or will any hinge do??

I used standard hinges that fold back on theirselves when lid is open about 40mm long, but previous box I made I used a piano hinge

I've always used a piano hinge on my carrying boxes.

Any hinge will do the job. Just some look better than others.

my big box has a piano hinge but the smaller boxes have t hinges and it doesn't really matter
