does anybody keep any all rounders???

does anybody else like myself keep a dog that can do a bit of everything?....fur/feather..daytime/lamping..coursing/ferreting.all these f*cking hare dogs that are doing 5/5 n all that sh*t are of no use to me beacause of the ground that i run the dogs on.........i know if you keep anything that is not a daytime hare dog,its not worth keeping ,but i would have an allrounder lurcher anyday ....atb lads....

i use my collie x for a bit of everything not got the gears for day time hare but everything else is on the menu. atb andy

ave got a lurcher,that is collie grey based and does not too bad on the hares,but round here the parks are a lot smaller

mines had few but not a 100 yard slip job like the corsing dogs but if i wont one for the pot she will get me one. atb andy.

I hunt my dogs like all around type dogs but they pretty much suck at everything. Just like me they are jackass of all trades master of none. Such is life.

there is not alot of one species round my way,it tends to be a mixture....and what ever that be,it gets dealt with in the correct way

Prolly cuz of the wolfhoud and borzoi blood in them. All I really know is that the more I hunt my dogs the more I realize they are just dogs and we have a love/hate relationship.
