Guest scramble
A double pegged Purse net with Wire sliders instead of rings. Purses from both ends unlike the standard Pursnet. Is the mesh size bigger. the net you've just described is a French bourse net, we call them poke nets. there are many different varieties ie 2 pegs/2lines 2 pegs 1line etc. i prefer 2 pegs on a single line allowing both rings or sliders to close together. NEWKID 27,810
We use extra length nets with 1 peg as run nets through the hedge, there normally made as poke nets with 2 pegs. My ferreting partner gets them made with 1 peg as we find they purse better. That's how I would use your extra sized net mate, find the runs through the top of the hedge and cover it with the big net..... Edited to say Just re read your post and 8ft is a bit bigger than the average poke......still could be useful though.. Edited December 20, 2012 by NEWKID Quote Link to post
