It depends whether you spend any time in prison or any other custodial sentence and if so, how long that sentence was.

 

If you spend more than three years serving a custodial sentence, you are banned from owning firearms for life.

 

If you spend between three month and three years the same, then you are banned for five years.

 

Anything outside of those parameters depends on your local police and ultimately, how you live now.

OK here is an update i have been intouch with fire arms manager ....this was his reply when i told him my history ...

 

There should be no problem because of the 25 year gap as long as there has been no other incedents ,,,subject to home visit ...security check ect . :yes:
