Dont know how to put photos up,but ill try get one of the younguns to sort it for me.I have a concrete sectional garage with runs on side and hole in the concrete so dogs can get in there barrells,so mine are not outside,i also tried plastic years ago as i thought about the cleaning aspect but i found plastic to be problematic with the condensation.

Jonesy how did you cut into the concrete? I have the same concrete section garage and was 'toying' with the idea of doing what you've done but wasn't sure about cutting into the garage..... My luck I'd bring the feckin thing down!! ( pics would be good to see, give me more of an idea )

when cutting precast panels you will hit mesh but dont panic concrete blade will cut through mesh when you have cut your opening use the grinder to take the edge off and grind down any sharp mesh that may be left if you want to go the hole hog use a an old mountain bike tyer cut to size to cover concrete edge or rebated slot with shutter to keep dogs in seen many , or rubber flap
