Help with striker wiring please

Had a problem with my Striker 170 recently where the lamp wouldn't come on, stripped it all down and checked all connections and they were all ok, the only two wires i that i didn't check up to that point were the ones going to where the bulb connects into (where you have to drill the rivet out).....why don't Lightforce make this part of the lamp accessible.

Well anyway i eventually found a clean break in the wire lower down the cable just before where the cable starts to go into the coiled shape, what i wanted to ask is if say the switch had gone, how did you get the new switch say from Maplins etc to fit back in..??.

quick and simple no daft switches to go wrong trigger 2 did mine 5 years back and I had to re do it the other week because the wires split at the bottom of the handle hope this helps atb malc

Sorry to hijack your thread tyler hope you get your lamp sorted but just wondering are people having the same wireing problems with the tracer 170 as with lightforce n which is the better out of the two cheers..

ive had 2 lightforce 170 and wiring rubbish got a tracer 170 and not had any problems

just wire it up live to earth the wire you can see is the live behind that Is the earth [BANNED TEXT] you touch the 2 together you get the connection no need for all those switches that play up when they get wet or old

Prefer to use a switch myself.
