Ten fat garden rabbits today

Well was a later than usual ferreting day got there 10. 30 set up the first warren and let the dog out the van : ) , should of took him for s good walk but was ruining late . He tore around the warren like a loon 3 out and one bottled it bolted once the spade went in and where the dog had been flying round hed knocked the longnet yep you guessed it the rabbit went that way , not to worry catch up with him later : ). The dog then marked the next warren one out of there I set the long net right out for this one hoping to let the dog have a chase the blimin rabbit never even got out of the hole the dog yanked it out ,, we moved on to a bank in a wooded bit the dog marked solid I went to pick up the gear from the previous warren and when I got back he was in the same spot 3 out of there , and my young Jill was grafting um like a pro very happy, one slipped out of a bolt hole and headed for the last warren of the day dog in chase , long net round 3 out and a kill but was under roots , so ended with ten an enjoyable short day finished by two thirty,

Cheers the one I kinda like them : ) add to the beauty of the season , nothing like the woosh of a rabbit out of a bolt hole ,
