boyo 1,398
my daughter is 36 i remember when she was 14 and in school they had a debating after school thing and the debate was about hunting for and against only her and one other pupil debated for it ,a freind whos family kept horses. these 2 stood up against the whole debating class and did hunting proud the teacher stood up and applauded both of them at the end .but even at that age most of the school had been brainwashed in to things that were supposed to be happeningand this was 20 odd years ago when things wernt half as bad as they are nowadays. JohnGalway 1,043
Herselfs young lad (he's 10) told me yesterday how he was telling his teacher and class that I wait until the moon is gone away to shoot foxes on my farm because they eat my lambs Now he wants me to get him a fox skull to bring into class. I showed them one from a fox I shot last year or the year before that was laying about the farm. Think I'll need to run that one by their mother!
Nik_B 3,791
Well she did it. I gave her feathers from pheasant, mallard and woodcock and typed out a crib sheet with a few facts on each bird etc. She loved doing it and she told me that while she read about the birds the teacher offered to show the feathers for her as her hands were full. I curiously asked my daughter if her teacher knew which were which and I laughed a lot when she told me that the teacher had picked up the duck feathers while she was talking about woodcock and my daughter had to correct her I decided to tell her to tell her class that the feathers came from Wales and if they wanted to know how we got them they could ask me...although it's got to be pretty obvious unless there's a few poor birds out there wandering round without any wing or tail feathers
RossM 8,149
agree but she's only 6 and parents aren't invited...it's just something they do each Friday. She just wants to show her friends the feathers but I can guarantee the teacher will say "oh where did you get those?" and when she tells them are they going to be normal about it or will they get embarrassed and try and change the subject... Should have let he take the shotty in with her, and when teach asked "where did you get those?" she could've waved the gun at her and said "with this f**k face, problem?" but then she would maybe get lines or detention so perhaps that's not a good idea!!
