170 filter

Recommended Posts

Any one modefied their filter by drilling a hole in the centre , as my son uses a cluelight & the hole in the centre makes it much better , so thinking of doing the same to my 170 filter but not sure on what size to drill in .... If any one has already done this the size of hole would be much appreciated ..

hole should be the size of a 10p

it makes the red beam go further ive never done it myself but have used a filter with a hole drilled in it and it seemed better than my own red filter

Well iv done. About the size of a 10p or just abit bigger ya it does mean you get abit more distance BUT it trows a white ring which is off putting till you get used too it...

Iv tryed it and IMO the filter is better left alone (Hence why i brought another at the start of the season)

Would i do it again...... NO
