Big bald beautiful 1,231
How do they differ to other running dogs , are they calmer or more hyper.only had deerhound or collie blooded dogs or the odd whippet. Quote Link to post

I find my pup fairly calm but depends on the dog they are all different ,my pup currently is very smart unlike what many say saluki dogs are, he can be abit timmid when he encounters new things but soon settles , personally I feel heavily saluki blooded dogs need to be handeled with kid cloves and you need to be patient my older dog goes funny if you yell at him , best way to train them is slowly slowly and bond as much as possible once who have a strong bond the dog they won't leave your side recall Is important as they do sometimes throw you a deaf ear lol , I just train them like I would anyother Lurcher just bonding with them , letting them learn as much as possiable and taking my time Atb mate Quote Link to post
