Siting my cabinet...

Recommended Posts

Can anyone see a problem with siting my cabinet on the wall to the right of the front door as you look at it?

The photo is taken looking down the stairs. Kitchen is to the left.

That is not the external door. There is a large porch which is always locked.

The door you can see in the photo is alarmed. As is the rest of the house.

Thanks

Gaz

Never mind about he gun cabinet why is there a picture of 2 gormless Mancs in your hallway :icon_eek:

...............

HOW DARE YOU (in voice of Max from Max and Paddy!) HOW VERY DARE YOU!

Haha.

Thanks lads. I will have a rethink. It probably could go under the stairs to be honest.

Theres not a built-in wardrobe it can go in, all wardrobes are stand alone. And i havent got an Attic, its a flat roofed property.

I had a feeling it would be a no-go there but it was my preferred location.

Cheers

hi i read others experience and when feo came round it was completely different, i was allowed in loft, i was allowed on internal wall.... just waiting to see if sgc goes through and thats where it will be going, all he said was make sure it has 4 decent size bolts... m10 raw bolts, as it would be near unused chimney breast i also said about a couple there and he was more than happy so i guess its down to what county and what feo mate and the biggest surprise was he advised me to get a cheap 20quid electronic safe from b and q to store my key in hmmmmmm why go to the bother of expensive gunsafe, drilling and bolting down to have someone come in with a screwdriver and hammer and smash a little safe open for the keys.... all the best steve

And i'd put the big "f**k off" crowbar away before the FAO comes to visit............

Under the stairs would be much better...

Haha yeh probably a good idea. I like my little bar by the door just incase i decide to do any home rennovation in the night :whistling:

Ive bolted it under the stairs last night. Its not on an outside wall though, its the wall to the lounge.

Ive also put one of them little combination bolts on the door to get under the stairs, its not exactly "high security" but it just stops anyone whos visiting from opening the door...

Thanks

Put a couple of big screws into the floor as well. Anything you can do to make it not budge is best.......
