could have shot him!!

went out other night for a scout around and that dog of mine got himself a bunny and thought that it was his so ran off like he dose most times but this time didnt stop and ran out the feild over the road and just sat there with the rabbit infront of him!! i was savage its quite a mian road aswell lucky no one was driving it then!!

dogs only as good as the trainer my friend..............

he is fine on a walk he will come back no problem just when he gets a rabbit!!

get the retrieving right before he sees another rabbit

dog,lamp and slip, thats all i need, but sometimes i just come home with the last 2 lol

 

has he been doing this for a while, or just starting doing it recently?

 

yeah one day i might he useally stays close just runs around me like a pr!ck but he just done one this time

if its prone to doing the off id be staying clear of the roads till it was sorted,

 

he is fine on a walk he will come back no problem just when he gets a rabbit!!

so dont show him a rabbit near the road then :D

I had a sal/whip/grey what did the same thing. Absolute twat of a dog.

 

Blame myself for 90% of it - bad trainer and I was a first time lurcher owner. But he was a nightmare.

 

Luckily/unluckily he broke his neck lamping. I guess he was never meant to be.

 

He taught me so much though and HOPEFULLY it's made me a better dog trainer and owner.

Do you keep calm mate by the sounds of it you seem angry ? I know it can be hard but you need to keep your cool might be wrong just think by the way your talking lol

cheers lads well i start off calm but there is only so much i can take lol he is my first lurcher i made the mistake of buying a 18 month old dog with know training. ill be getting from a pup next time so if he dont turn out right then i know its my fault!!
