Brian-911 210
Was cleaning the dogs out last night when some numpty let a firework off not too far away, I live in a residential area near parks ect so bonfire night were surrounded by bangs through the night. Any how when this firework went of the older pup shat herself. So I'm thinking what my gonna do on bonfire night with the dogs cos if she gets like that over one what's she gonna be like when hundreds are ringing out left right and centre !? Anyone else's dogs get like this on bonfire night and what you do? Being them inside or what? Atb

scothunter 12,609
My old dog hated them, she was a complete mess that week. This one is unsure but not to stressed. Ridiculous anyway one week of the year kids are throwing explosives around, with no regard to where they land.
skycat 6,174
Get one of these: expensive, but really help to desensitize dogs to sounds. Follow the instructions to the letter. I play mine from mid October onwards, playing it louder and louder as the dogs get used to it. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sounds-Scary-phobias-including-fireworks/dp/B000XPA5MU

3175darren 1,102
Problem with it is, it is constant in some towns, and you can't be there all the time,so alot of the time the dog is exposed to the sounds in an uncontrolled manner, I know dogs that will not bat an eye at fire works, and others are off for the hills they are a nuisance and thats all they are,and some of the people useing them have no respect for others,
