what does this look like to you

just noticed today me beagle has this on his leg do you think it could be mange ? ive washed the beds out with disinfecten anyway but its worrieing me abit

its just the hairs missin on that side but the other dog kenneled with it is fine and its buggin me

i dont know but i have 2 grayhound crosses and 2 greyhounds and they all except 1 have bare patches on there thigh because they lie on the ground a lot the one with no bare patch is to posh to lie on the floor and allways sits in a chair or her dog bed i have had this checked with a vet because like yourself i was worried and was told it was through friction from lieing on the carpet dose your dog sleep more on that side ? if its not itching then i doubt its mange but im not a vet

Has the coat been bitten by the dog? Had something very similar to a Lab, happened over night, she had impacted anal glands, squeeze them if you can.

IS THE SKIN AROUND THE BALD PATCHREALY RED AND SCABBY AND IS THE DOG ALWAYS

BITING AT IT THESE ARE THE SIGNS OF MANGE IF IT IS I WILL GIVE YOU A TIP IF YOU GO TO

THE VET TELL HIM ITS BEEN NEAR FOXES AND TELL HIM ITS PICKED UP MANGE THE REASON I

SAY THIS IS BECAUSE MY MATES SISTER TOOK A DOG TO THE VET AND HE TOOK OVER £300

FOR SKIN SCRAPES AND HE STILL HADNT CURED IT I TOOK IT TO MY VET AND IT COST ME £8

No, I meant has the dog done it himself? I wouldnt of believed it when the Lab did it to herself, she literally ate the coat off her back leg and it was in strips like that pic, it was just a thought anyway.

if the skin is rough and red then it could be mange, doesnt look like it to me tho, might just be that the dog is lying on that side all the time. Is the dog itching at itself? Could be a flea allergy, or any other type of allergy?

hes on hay atm but ive changed that tonight and put blankets plus the hay was a little damp after all this rain and them goin in there with wet coat

had this before, dogs in hot weather lying on concrete run to keep cool,but if not sure locate a sheep fank and dip him from the neck down should save vet from charging a fortune
