It's a shame that people don't take a little more thought when planning something like this: not during summer time, rabbits with young, not bolting well, crops up, deep bank warren: the list goes on.

Years ago we did a little interview and ferreting with our local BBC Look East, when the marches were going on during the lead-up to the ban: we picked a shallow small warren we knew well, made sure there were rabbits at home before letting them turn on the cameras (used a dog to mark them first), then made sure that we both knew exactly what we were doing, and the crew also knew what was likely to happen: putting them in the best places to film a bolt etc. Not rocket science: just needs a bit of forethought IMO.

 

As I said, I've seen three videos with Mr Gallagher in them.

I thought the idea of the show (but could be wrong) is that you catch the rabbit and then Ade takes it away and cooks it............................................

We were approached by Kevin mcclouds production team (him off grand designs) last year to do a rabbiting segment for his new show where he wanted to make glue out of rabbits ... NO PROBS ... we said what exactly do you want .... Well the producer said it needs to happen in July in a wooded area with plenty of foliage around so it looks appealing to the eye .... We can't start filming until after 5 in the evening ... We only have time for one evenings filming ... There will be a crew of 6 plus yourselves and we need to catch around 30 rabbits ..... NO CHANCE we said lol ..... Sometimes you have to walk away ...........
