my new gunpower stealth

Recommended Posts

After been messed around waiting for my s16 to be built and then buying a super10 and not been happy with it I swapped for a gunpower stealth imaculate gun with mod , bipod , foldown fore grip, leupey valve and spring mod and fit my hawke scope ended up with a gun am really happy with! I've owned alsorts over the years but nothing that shoots like this! I know there are mixed reviews on this gun but thumbs up from me , tis slightly under power though the guy I swapped with said he cronod it at 9.5 ftlbs so just wondered if any one has any experience with these and any mods or tips to help with them? Or just take to shop for power reset? Any advice a help , also best place for parts and work doin on them , thanks

hi mate if it has the adjsutable top hat on the bottle you can adjust power by winding the top hat out. normally two grub screws hold the top hat in posistion you will need a chrono to check power as they can put out some serious ftlbs but once you have the right adjustment mark the posistion and then use some thread lock to aid the top hat position. my one used to move without it. if you look up leupys custom shop he does all manor of mods for the stealth. on talon airguns/ talontunes the states version of the stealth have a forum.

as above, you can buy an extended top hat, also you can mess about with the springs and washers inside if you google it theres loads of information on how to tune them and brass washers and other spare parts are readily available, just make sure you check with a chrono after you have finished.

I had a gunpower .If mine was set at 10.5 ft lbs with 14 to 16 grain pellets .22 with bisley mags ect it would shoot 12ftlbs .I put 3 air arms field pellets in the gun and shot them all at the same time 3x16 grain the gun shot over 12 ftlbs so if you got a 42 grain 22 pellet ????. The power increase with heavy pellets was when the guns bottle pressure was low.So if you adjust top hat watch out for this .That may why the gun is set at 9.5 that is why I got rid of my stealth .

Cheers for replys its now in redbecks getting a overhall he reckons there a prob with the bottle ??? I'm In two minds weather to leave it there and get done right or Google it and try repair myself ?, as gunsmith not back in untill Fri , he did say it seems to have a few faults but not 100% what till he strips it fully down Fri , god knows seem to be having nothing but bad luck since getting back in to it!

the gun is very simple, to take out valve is easy .the seat of valve may be able to repair with autosolve metal polish using the same method as seating valves in a car engine .The o rings can be replaced .If the valve is bent ?? I bent mine but straightened it, lucky .very easy to bend. google there is loads of information but I would get a better gun unless you wont to learn about pcp s and how to set them up .I spent hours messing with my stealth making valves ect .but the real problem was the gun had to be set low power with normal pellets ..someone jds air man makes regulators for them that may help ,but it is easyer to get a air arms s 400 .

Couldn't agree more mate! Mine all sorted now well firing at 11 ftlbs but so good to shoot with best gun I've ever bought and tried pretty much everything LOL, mite invest in the tuning dvd and a chrono so can try doing the work myself then, am after the standard front grip if any one knows where to get one mine the fold down grip ,
