hawkyhepburn 0
Hello I have been helping out various local falconers for several years now and a few weeks ago I acquired a harris hawk off a very good friend of mine who was selling up due to ill health. It made sense for me to get a bird I have been working with for some time, so I got a 2.5year old male imprint harris hawk. However I came back from honeymoon on Tuesday night to find it has gone missed (hard to explain on the forum but genuinally do not suspect seller/friend, already been offered money back or another bird). He may have escaped from the Lanchester/Langley Park area but seems unlikely. I signed up to another forum when I got the bird from tips etc but fate has taken this hand. I have offered a reward for any info for his return and IBR know. I believe my account is limited for 5 genuine posts which is a good idea so I hope no-one minds me mentioning things on here. Aside from this I enjoy all aspects of the countryside from walking, mountain biking and wildlife surveying. I look forward to having a read etc around this forum when I am not at work, and would like to get the bird back into hunting if he returns. Many thanks guys and a big hey! Attached a photo of my lovely boy too! http://s88.photobuck...snuggles/Birds/

STAFFY poacher 90
something not right there, no one is going to sell a bird then offer money bk or another bird unless they had something to do with it in my opinion
hawkyhepburn 0
something not right there, no one is going to sell a bird then offer money bk or another bird unless they had something to do with it in my opinion Something definately isn't right with the bird going missing, but I don't think my friend is at fault. I bought the bird 3 weeks ago and then went on honeymoon for 2 weeks. He looked after it during that time. He has a few harris's for sale and because he was still caring for it for me hence his offer. Plus he is a friend and bird went missing in his care. The decent thing anyone would do was make sure I wasn't out of pocket so I think thats good of him, but for now my priority is doing all I can too find him, my friend and another falconer are helping. Making some local posters at the moment.
