Personally I would go Springer x Fell. But tbh I think any terrier, collie or spaniel mix would suit, as long as the parents are of the right stuff. Collies aren't quite as mad when hunting as a spani

no mate not given up on anything, but after talking to a few mates that run houndxterriers an pure hounds, i think the beagle or hound blood is unneeded, an after fishing last week an seeing these 2 collie/terriers hunting up the fishery an killin rats an putting bunnys out to a bull/whippet i was quite impressed, an i actually got a terrier an collie here than i can/do work an will vouch for, an seeing as the whole litter would be for personal use, its got me thinking :D

yeah i was thinking the same on hound blood but then i thought i would need some, then changed my mind again etc etc.......... its a hard choice to find the "ultimate" bushing dog as so many breeds will work cover lol my top choice would be summat thats to big to go to ground, small enough to keep any rabbits on the move, happy enough to kill in cover, gives tongue, good nose and has plenty of stamina to go all day!!!.......... TBH you might be on to summat with a collie/terrier cross......... ;)

and agree on a bushing dog section, they are just as much a worker as any other dog in the field.......

your right mate, too many choices haha, but the biggest problem i got is i dont trust anybody anymore, i would wanna be seeing a stud dog working not once, nowt twice for a whole heap a days oot, an its just not always possible an to take anybody on there word these days, unless they a trusted mate, is pure madness lol so way that in mind i then contemplated getting a spaniel dog in a using it for a few seasons then breed off it, but thats just silly, i dont want 1 lol, i got 2 collie dogs i can use an both are out way me regular, f**k a duck why cant the dog game jsut be more honest then id just go to a decent stud dog, decisions decisions :icon_redface:
