paulus 26
i worked with an old feller once who swore by his collie/russels for ferreting, they were very obedient and worked well enough i even saw them take mink pre ban of course
RossM 8,149
The old wifey across the path has a colliexspringer, sometimes if I'm going oot and she's at the gate, I'll wave the wee woman and take the wee bitch a mooch, she was fair getting the hang of it the last few times and was starting to find and put out game, she loves it and the woman is delighted she gets a good run.

TBH you might be on to summat with a collie/terrier cross......... and agree on a bushing dog section, they are just as much a worker as any other dog in the field.......
