CRAP WEATHER FOR DECOYING

Recommended Posts

One of my mates that goes decoying pigeons with me helps out on a farm that we shoot all the land, he was working one of the fields that we have not shot as the owner as lots of land we have not touched yet. He was going through the field with the Tractor and as soon as he pushed the pigeons off the field they dropped in straight behind the Tractor, and there were hundreds on the field. he rang me to tell me on Saturday night and we haven't been able to get at em because the weathers so crap, can't Waite for the weather to break hopefully by Friday then might get a chance to get at em keeping my finger's crossed anyone else got the same problem: DAVE

i was out at the weekend and theres a field of barley thats been left as there unable to combine it due to the ground being to soft, the dogs were running through it chasing rabbits and there was 1000`s and i mean 1000`s of pigeons coming up off it and settling straight back down on it as the dogs ran past them. couldnt get down there yesterday and its been raining non stop since last night.

Its really annoying not being able to get out when I've got time on my hands, not tied down with anything else, when the weather breaks you can guarantee something will come up to stop me getting out: Dave

ill guarentee by the time i get chance to get back there, they have naffed off somewhere else

      Hi,
I've recently moved to St Neots, Cambridgeshire and looking for an area or a bit of land where the owner requires help with pigeons etc. This is solely for fun and not my full time job.

Please let me know, if you or someone you know would let me shoot a few pigeons/rats for them in this sort of area.

      Many thanks
      Tom

      Morning all

Apologies if this has been covered previously, I have obviously missed it if it has been.
I would just like to ask if anyone has given the A-TEC shot gun silencer a real test on the pigeons ( Full day). If you have can you let me know how it effected your shooting, if at all, or did you get to grips with it quite quick. I would be looking to use standard 32g no6 loads.
The permission we currently shoot is shrinking rapidly due to new housing estates popping up so I am looking at all options with a view to upsetting as few people as possible. I would also be looking to use on Geese if they are OK , and I am aware that they recommend a max load of 43g through the A-TEC.
          Thanks in advance

Hello, I've recently moved to the Norfolk area and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to getting permission to shoot on some local landowners land. I'm from and currently serve in the british army and know how to shoot well with my own kit. I do have some hunting experience and i'm also a BASC member to which comes with insurance. Any help would be appreciated.
