PLEDGEY 496
Has anyone on here used any 2'' 9 gram .410 cartridges with a shrouded 410?. If so, how quiet are they?. Being subsonic, and being shot from a 410 with a moderator, are they as quiet as a 22lr sub sonic round shot through a moderator?. Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
I use Eley Fourtens which are 2" 9 grams through a .410 with a 9" moderator. They make a noise like a champagne cork popping. Nowhere near as quiet as a sub through a .22, but still not too loud. Edited September 24, 2012 by walshie Quote Link to post
terryd 8,955
I tried some subsonic on my 20 gauge last week too test and all I got was a bit of a pop and whistle hell of difference certainly not silent but I bet the sound didn't carry far at all Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 496
Got hold of some 3'' subs today, put them through a Baikal with a full Mod. Not as quiet as a 22lr, but sure as hell quieter than an SX3. Got some high velocity 21/2'' cartridges in .410 as well, got a crack to them, but still not extremely load. Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
Eley fourlongs are the quietest by far in my modded fourten. You can just hear the rush of the shot pushing through the air. Quote Link to post
