Anybody know of any charities that are unjust?

Seen the adverts on STV saying that 1 in 5 Scottish kids are living in poverty? How can anybody be in poverty in this day and age in Britain. With the benefits and systems in place? My idea of poverty is no food, no water, no clothes?

Lately I have been looking closer at other charities too. Some are asking for money for people who get a large amount of help on leaving their jobs but chose to take drugs/ alcohol and live a life of crime. I have no sympathy for these people yet there's workers trying to get money out of you at shows etc.

Anybody know of any charities that they believe arent justified?

I don't mind giving a donation to a few charities which i do. Just some I don't believe in.

Also any charities you greatly believe in?

I think the dogs trust does a great job. Have no time for the RSPCA/ SSPCA but I do donate monthly to the dogs trust. They have a great ethic and treat all their dogs spot on.

help for heroes

HELP 4 HEROES-THE TRUTH CONCERNING YOUR DONATIONS/BOUGHT ITEMS.

A few days ago I went direct to H4H with a few points and questions.

Roughly 98p in the pound DONATED to H4H CHARITY goes to the cause. The other 2p is admin, running cost ect. (these are fantastic figures for a charity... Normally it's roughly 60/40. Depending on charity)

However their merchandise is SOLD by H4H TRADING which is a

BUSINESS. this is where all the big wages and flash cars comes from. The £2 you think you are donating for a wrist band is actually a purchase. NON of the money from a sale off goods has anything to do with H4H charity, it all belongs to H4H TRADING (however after all the staff have received huge wages some money is transferred to H4H charity.

you will find staff wages for H4H charity through there annual reports ( they have to provide this information by law) BUT you will never find a true wage figure because they take profit from H4H TRADING and these figures don't need to be disclosed.

H4H charity have confirmed that if you want your money to go direct to the soldier / wounded ect DONATE to H4H CHARITY. it you want to help with running cost and staff wages purchase products from H4H TRADING.

Everything H4H charity are doing is above board. However when you dig deeper into there attached business ect you discover nothing is illegal, but morally wrong. People are mislead into thinking they are donating to a charity when they are actually purchasing from a business.

If you wish to continue to support H4H charity I urge you to donate direct to H4H charity and avoid buying products from H4H trading.

If you want your money to support soldiers, veterans, PTSD, disabilities, homelessness, family's and many more, no matter what age, length of service employment status ect put your money into other charity's...( We know which ones these are!) if you only want to support serving soldiers injured after 2001 H4H charity is the way to go.

How the clothes bags donations work,The lad driving the van goes to a warehouse where he is given a set map,so he dosnt bump into other squads,he then has a van full of lads delivering charity bags, then in a couple days comes back round to collect them,he then takes them back to warehouse where bags are weighed and he gets paid on weight,if your going to give to charities go and make a donation.
