pianoman 3,589
Hi mate. If nothing else, send my pal AndyFR1968 a PM about this. He's been a bloody wizard with servicing and tuning my spring rifles, so, it's a good bet he might know what's happening inside your Prosport...or not! Hope this turns out well for you and your rifle. Regards. Simon. Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
erm. doodgy chrono.. wrong pellet weight in chrono settings?? other than that if it all looks ok then god knows. 9ftlb is still effective tho.. dont get too worried about the numbers mate it will screw with your head, like mine has been since i started worrying too much about all the little things. go out, shoot some stuff and have fun and stop worrying about numbers is my advice 1 Quote Link to post
fry 209
yeah well i changed the batteries in it and it was the same detinately not put in wrong weights. i will try my 410 through it see if thats reads under as well. i have been thinking about it and if there is a fault it must be losing past the piston seal the spring is new. all said and done i only have a combro. i will ring blackpool rifles and ask them what they reckon. fry 209
the daystate pellets are lighter with a stiffer skirt even so they were reading 11.2 last time i checked Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
dont know then mate. sorry. hope you get it sorted Quote Link to post
fry 209
phoned support at blackpool air rifles he said power can go down or up when they bed in! springs aint a totally predictable item i am goin to strip it again and shove another washer in. Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
if that fails try get a new spring. might be worth a shot. maybe your next spring will go up instead of down lol Quote Link to post
fry 209
yeah true enough Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
When i got my ,177 97kt he chronoed it 11.7 and i thought id best keep my eye on it. 4000 pellets or so through it and it was doing 11.2 Quote Link to post
thursodog 353
Might well be the spring if all else is well. Is there any free play on the cocking arm when you disengage from the stock prior to cocking? Reads like it may have compressed somewhat. CW. Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
hi fry what grease are you using? i wouldn't worry to much about the 10.6 with AA 8.4gr ,it will bed in and after a few tins it will be cock on! i run my TX at 10.2 and its deadly accurate,so just let it settle and every thing will be OK Quote Link to post
fry 209
i used the grease that came with the v-mach kit i aint too bothered over the ten with the aa fields but under with the 7.9 daystates sort of grates a bit. any way my missis is off to corfu with all the kids to aqua land for ten days so i am going to service me 410 with the dvd you sent me when they are gone. will leave a review after i am done.. fry 209
tried to put a third preload washer in an it would not cock! phoned mr pope and he said shorten the plastic spring guides which i did but to no avail. it must be a duff spring me chrono is right my 410 still reads 11.2. he has told me to send him the spring and he will send a replacement. cant say fairer than that! my spring measured 208 mm an one he had there was 215mm. o well back to the recoiless world of pcp s for a week. have to say steve pope is a decent fella to deal with.
