the dogs to young does not know whats going on thats why it ran should be watching on the slip the dog needs time to take in whats going on not throwen in at the deep end you might have messed a youn

ive a young dog nearly a year old, hes only caught a pheasant and has had one run on a rabbit doubled with one of my other dog to show him what to do, seems to be keen enough but when i try get him out on his own and see if i can get him a run on his own he has his head on the floor and doesnt bother with watching the lamp, like has been said its all about patience, the dog my pup went out with didnt get started till he was 19-20 month old,

has the pup ever been grabbed by older dog in the kennel?how long have u had the dog.better running the dog single handed(not on stuff with teeth) get its confidence up for awhile till it matures give it rags on dead stuff then let it in when older.do u keep it kenneled up with other dogs

No she's kenneled on her own and never been grabbed by another dog as far as im aware ive had her just over a month my other dogs at this age were totaly different she been out every night since ive had her watching

The more there out the quicker they will learn, It doesn't take long if the dogs out enough. Not sure if you're on about teeth or what but in my opinion I'd get as many rabs behind him as you can before. Really get his confidence up. Then build up.
