bird 10,014
as it had a nip,? with young dogs (always) make them think they can catch+ kill whats in front of them. the dog only a pup still, give it a break and try again when older. Some dont come in to there own till about 18 months - 2 years, plenty of time yet .! Quote Link to post
huntmad. 67
The bitch is still young shel come round to it I'm a strong believer in taking them out young to show the lamp I got a 7 month old pup and I take him now and he's picking up watchin the lamp quick bit he won't run till end of season but he will see a few dead rabbits and like yours he seen the first one didnt want to know but as I walk away he runs grabs it and carrys it to the car so just be patient with her I'm sure shel come round to it Atb Quote Link to post

NaTiiVe 29
chillll winstan lol, nah serious just let it be pup it will in time become more game, some dogs mature and become (keener) sooner than others mine was pretty keen from maybe 6 - 7month she wanted to go for anything that moved, which was good but bad in a way i used to have to keep her on lead didnt want to ruin her (during day walks, dont mean on lamp at that age) but yh just give the pup time its all a patience game my friend atb Edited August 15, 2012 by NaTiiVe Quote Link to post
jezza 126
imo it needs to be moving, my dog isnt interested once its dead, its too young for that anyway imo, start it later and double it up with an experienced dog Edited August 15, 2012 by jezza 1 Quote Link to post
