Was at oban two year ago caught mackeral all day long then the following year fished same place for a week not not bite. Normally spin in reservoirs like the derwent but wanna get into the sea fishing more. No license or anything needed just nice cheap fishing. Cheers will have a look on the sea world thing

Good luck fella, and just remember the hour before and the hour after high tides are usually the most productive, and if this combines with spring tides and a late evening just before it gets dark, it can be very productive!!

Enjoy.

This might sound stupid but how would I find out the times of high tides and stuff. I don't know much bout the sea world. Haha.

You can buy tide tables or look them up on the internet. Just type in "tide tables" and then look up Fort William.

As for spring tides, which are the highest and lowest of tides, they always coincide with a full moon. (nowt to do with the season)

If you are going when there is a full moon, so much the better, but any high tides are the time to go.
