Lol good lad I have stopped betting my young uns as I ALWAYS lose .... How long has he been training for mate ......

He represents Scotland Internationally, as does his brother......

He was a gymnast before hand, hence his flexibility and balance.. (they want him back lol)

Has anyone watched the program on Sky one, about taking young lads from deprived backgrounds to train in Kung FU in Hongkong, with the Shaolin?

I thought that it was a very positive reality show.. where the lads basically gave it 100% and deserved their opportunity..

Anyone else?

They were Tenshinkan for most of their training, but their Sensai found it restrictive to his own and the clubs goals, so he changed to Burakudo shotakan.. Its basically one big family in Scotland..

I got to brown belt kick boxing but stopped after a bad bike crash.

I liked the fitness and the training but couldn't get on with competing. got disqualified for an 'illegal move' during an amateur event. apparently, although I had received a few left and right hooks during the first 2 rounds, when I dropped my opponent with a right hook followed by a nice body roundhouse, I was disqualified for the hook and banned for 3 fights...never really got enthusiastic about competing again and then after the crash its no feasible to train fully anymore

its a problem at Junior level..

The boys have to judge what contact is considered a point in international competition without getting a warning... in scotland it wouldnt be considered as a point... different standards.. different points... hey ho..
